At Pendleburys we will always combine our knowledge and experience with the lifestyle information patients give us to make a recommendation for a lens product. We do all we can to explain how varifocals work and the differences between lens types for patients new to them or for those patients thinking of upgrading to a newer design. We have been working for a few years now with apps provided by Varilux (Essilor) and Nikon to help give a more vivid demonstration but the new Nautilus from Essilor, takes it to a new level.
Using the headset in the photograph combined with the ipad we can show you around a room trying out the various lens types available from Essilor- enabling a direct comparison, one product to another. We can also demonstrate the difference between lenses with or without an anti- reflection coating, polarised or non polarised sunglasses and so much more.
We are looking forward to sharing this new technology with our patients and welcome our patients to try out the Nautilus to see if you can see the visual benefit of the newer technology lenses now available- you will be surprised!
