If you are new to contact lenses and wish to consider wearing them, we will be happy to advise you, as to your suitability to contact lens wear. These days, most patients can wear lenses if they wish, due to the advances in technology making more complex prescriptions available and state- of – the – art materials being used in manufacture.

If you are due an eye examination you may wish to have your sight test first and ask your optometrist if they feel you would be suitable and then book a separate contact lens appointment; or you may wish to phone or call into the practice to have a chat with us regarding the possibilities before attending for an appointment, thus allowing us to combine your routine eye examination with a contact lens trial and fitting appointment; this is called a Contact lens Prelim appointment

There are two main categories of contact lens types in general use :
